CNC Drill Sizes by Site

Drill holes in the model must use diameters available at the fabrication site. Using an unavailable diameter means the part cannot be machined as designed. Confirm the fabrication site before finalizing drill geometry.

Guidance

  • Colorado has a broader range of metric sizes in the small-diameter range
  • New York has larger maximum diameters available (up to 40mm vs. 35mm)
  • When designing for either site, stay within the listed sizes to avoid custom tooling requirements
  • For holes requiring non-standard diameters, consult PE before finalizing the model
